METONIC

Rich Stafford has been in and out of live bands since he was 17 years old and has performed all over the Western United States. Mostly cover bands, but there were always originals mixed in. Rich appeared as a guest vocalist/guitarist/writer for the Badlands Badass release of “One for You” in 2006. In 2012 Rich recorded a solo release (RSP, THE RICH STAFFORD PROJECT) at Dog Haus Records in Spring Creek, Nevada. It is more of a guitar showpiece than anything else, but there are a few songs with vocals. The single “Talk Out Your Face” was played on radio stations across the globe and made it as high as #79 in the nation on the ReverbNation charts. In 2016 Rich was a founding member of DFW’s Iron Jaw where he served as the lead vocalist and lyricist. Iron Jaw recorded a four song demo and started building a solid reputation in DFW. After parting ways with Iron Jaw in 2019, Rich started looking for like minded musicians and eventually the Metonic lineup was complete. Rich uses Vintage Guitars, ESP/LTD Guitars, Orange Amplifiers, Marshall Cabinets, and Shure microphones.

George Rivera started playing guitar in 1978. He attended Libre De Musical of Puerto Rico where he studied classical guitar. George started playing gigs on the East Coast in the New York/New Jersey areas with bands such as Medallion and Chaos Unlimited. In 2008 George moved to Texas and played in band like Look 2 Kill and Siege Hammer. George joined Metonic in late 2023 as the lead guitar player. George is influenced by bands such as Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, King Diamond and Dokken. He uses Line6 Helix amps, Ampeg Cabinets. He plays BC Rich, Jackson, and ESP guitars.

Christopher Abbott is the keeper of the deep end. He has 44 years of experience. Christopher, began his musical journey in New York playing metal and alternative music in Manhattan clubs such as CBGB 's, Bond St Cafe, and various others. Now in the DFW music scene, he was the founder of Siege Hammer and pays bass with Power Lourdes. Late in 2023 he joined forces with Metonic. Christopher is influenced by Iron Maiden, Judas Priest, Black Sabbath and others.  Christopher plays Traben, Peavy, Schecter and Ibanez basses. He uses Fender and acoustic stage gear.

Andres McDonnell started out playing the drums in high school and played in talent shows. Joining his first band out of high school called Outlander. After being with that band for 4 years, fast forward to 2007 he joined Capricorn Rising. Throughout his music career, he has had the honor and pleasure of being in several others in the DFW area, Project 817, Joker’s Edge, The MoonLordz, Rug Burn, The Setting Sons, Wild Pup, Interact, Zagin the Dragon and Blue-Sky Anthem. Searching for an opportunity to be a part of an original band he was introduced and given that chance by joining Metonic. He has been influenced by drummers such as. Mike Portnoy, Tim “Herb” Alexander, Will Calhoun, Vinnie Paul, Charlie Benante, Stewart Copeland, Lars Ulrich, Phil Collins, Neil Peart. He plays Tama, PDP, and Premiere drums, Zildjian and Sabian cymbals, and Vic Firth sticks.
